Lifting women and children out of hardship

A mother of four, driven by her own family’s story to bring dignity and hope to survivors across the Inland Empire.

As a mother of four adult children, my life was shaped by the challenges my daughters faced as they began their own journeys in life. Unfortunately, all three of my daughters found themselves trapped in abusive relationships that led them to seek refuge in shelters. Some of their experiences were more painful than others, but nothing could have prepared me for the heartbreak I would face when my daughter’s boyfriend tragically murdered her two-and-a-half-year-old son. My second grandson would have been twenty-six this year. The devastation of this loss, and the knowledge that the man responsible is now serving a life sentence, ignited a deep passion in me to help others who have faced unimaginable trauma.

In May 2021, I began my mission to support women and children recovering from domestic violence, human trafficking, and substance abuse by delivering purses and gift bags filled with toiletries and other necessities. I wanted to provide something small but meaningful — a gesture that could brighten their day and offer a sense of dignity in the face of such hardship. Each purse and gift bag is packed with care, meant to show these women and children that they are not alone. This mission has become my heart’s work, and through it, I hope to bring comfort, encouragement, and a reminder that they are worthy of happiness and a better future.

Delivering comfort, dignity, and hope to survivors

My mission is at the heart of everything I do. I am dedicated to making a meaningful difference by providing essential items to women and children recovering from domestic violence, human trafficking, and substance abuse. My efforts go beyond just donations — I offer emotional support and practical assistance through gifts like purses and gift bags filled with toiletries and other essentials. Over the years, I have partnered with several shelters and organizations to deliver comfort and hope, including The Open Door, Pacific Lifeline, and A Better Way.

My donations extend throughout the year, with each delivery thoughtfully timed to provide extra support during important moments, like Mother’s Day and Thanksgiving. In May 2022, I delivered four purses and gift bags to A Better Way, a shelter that has personal significance to me, as it helped my own daughter and grandchildren during a difficult time. I’ve also supported organizations like the Tayba Foundation, Redlands Assistance, and The Blessing Center, providing dozens of purses, bags, and gift sets to families and individuals in crisis. My approach is simple: I’m here to make a difference, not to compete.
